Calibrium AG is a private Investment Office that invests in a broad range of asset classes globally. We are fundamental long-term investors looking for a highly motivated and analytically minded professional to join our team as a Quantitative Research Analyst (100%). The ideal candidate possesses a practical mindset, excels at applying their skills to real-world challenges, and is adept at developing effective solutions.

You are intensely curious, have a passion for solving complex problems presented by financial markets and a strong willingness to learn and self-educate about new investment opportunities/strategies. You work diligently and have a hands-on approach. You will be reporting to the co-head of the Liquid Investment Division.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the codebase, providing quality control, troubleshooting, and support
  • Execute ad-hoc projects that require both coding expertise and advanced quantitative skills
  • Support the team’s trade execution activities
  • Enhance existing asset allocation and portfolio construction models across both liquid and illiquid asset classes
  • Improve and develop the current return and risk forecasting models and optimize systematic investment strategies
  • Develop tactical asset allocation models informed by market and macroeconomic signals
  • Keep abreast of industry and academic research to identify and incorporate relevant innovations

Requirements

  • University degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, quantitative finance, computer science or physics; CFA is a plus
  • Strong programming skills in Python with the ability to write clear code
  • Exceptional analytical skills with 3+ years of experience in financial data analysis, alpha research, portfolio construction, back-testing, simulation and building quantitative non-latency sensitive trading strategies
  • Ability to present complex ideas in an intuitive and easy to follow manner and work in an international team
  • Demonstrable passion for investing and markets
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; German is a plus
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate
