About the team you are joining:
IATA's Sustainability and Economics division works with airlines, regulators, and civil society to develop and implement policies, standards, and solutions that support the sustainable development of air transport and mitigate its impact on the environment.
You will join the Net Zero Transition team, which is responsible for advocating for all climate change-related solutions for aviation and ensuring the right options are available to airlines to support their transition plans. One of our main focus areas is to support the ramp-up of sustainable aviation fuels. We are committed to delivering solutions to support SAF development across regions, leveraging the diversity of feedstocks best suited for aviation, without compromising other decarbonization priorities. This requires a holistic approach working with the supply chain, technology solution providers, as well as with governments and financial institutions. You will report to the Head, Net Zero Transition Programs.
What your day would be like:
- Support the collection and maintenance of data regarding SAF developments (SAF production, feedstock, offtake agreements, initiatives, and alliances, among others) and financing (SAF public grants, loans, and guarantees, as well as investment and sustainability-linked/green financial instruments, among others) across the globe.
- Support the team with technical, research, project management, and stakeholders research.
- Contribute to the development of guidance material for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of team materials for presentations (internal and external) and internal and external capacity building workshops.
We would love to hear from you if:
- Recent (less than 12 months) graduate in a relevant discipline.
- Exposure to aviation and sustainability would be an asset.
- Strong IT & data analysis skills.
- Excellent planning skills and ability for multi-tasking.
- Detail-oriented, with strong time management and communication skills.
- Sensitivity and appreciation of cultural differences in a diverse environment are a must.
