Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. Established in 2025, Hexagon Robotics develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and enable the transition from automation to autonomy. The first humanoid product, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and combines agility, awareness, spatial intelligence and versatility to provide a market-leading solution for automotive, transportation, aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics customers.We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to design and develop robust, scalable software running on embedded Linux, working close to the hardware and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to bring our humanoid robots from prototype to production.Your MissionDesign, develop, test, and maintain embedded Linux software for Aeon, Hexagon’s humanoid robotWork closely with robotic algorithms experts and electrical engineersWork in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment developing a novel robot from prototype to serial productionActive and hands-on participation with system integration and testing on real hardwareTeam-oriented, problem-solving and creative thinking to push boundaries of cutting-edge technologiesBeing part of an R&D division with startup spirit in a globally active company: we work in an iterative fashion to solve complex real-world problems at the frontier of roboticsYour SkillsetBSc/MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field3+ years of professional experience in software development using modern C++, C, Python and ShellHands-on experience with cross-compilation, dependency management and packaging tools for embedded softwareProficiency with Linux development in an embedded context, including device drivers, kernel configuration and build systems such as Yocto or BuildrootExperience with the Nvidia Jetson BSP is a bonusExperience implementing embedded security features, including secure boot, kernel and driver signing, encrypted file systems and secure key storageFamiliar with low-level hardware communication (SPI, UART, I2C) and industrial protocols such as EtherCAT and CANDeep knowledge of network protocols and experience developing and debugging distributed applicationsFamiliar with CI/CD integration for embedded softwareKnowledge of ISO/IEC compliance standards relevant to embedded robotic systems is a plusWhat You’ll GetFlexible working hours and a hybrid model for real work-life balanceCHF 500 mobility credit for sustainable commutingBonus system & strong pension contributionsTailored training & development opportunitiesRelocation support for a smooth startDiscounts on health, mobility & entertainmentTeam events and a flat hierarchy where your voice countsA warm, international culture built on respect and collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr
