In this role, we are seeking a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and optimize tools that handle critical genomic and biomarker data, supporting target identification, drug discovery, and clinical development. You will contribute to backend services, data curation workflows, and visualization components to enable scientific insights. You’ll operate in a fast-paced environment that blends cutting-edge biology with modern tech. Start Date: ASAP End Date: 31.12.2026 Place of Work: Basel Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross functional teams to build a maintainable backend for data curation applications using Python frameworks Optimize existing applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise Ensure adherence to best practices including testing and CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of software architecture patternsJob ID 41181219 Candidate Profile Strong grasp of software architecture patterns Curious, creative, highly organized, and focused on solution-oriented problem solving Able to work independently and in a team, manage priorities and juggle multiple projects Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences Proficiency in Python development, including Dash Experience with Linux Experience with Git Nice to have Experience with scientific or biological data Front-end experience with React.js, TypeScript, and Bootstrap Familiarity with Conda and Node.js package management Experience designing and consuming APIs, e.g., FastAPI and data warehousing with AWS Redshift #J-18808-Ljbffr
