You must be a strong leader who can elevate engineering practices and develop people. Manager roles at Agoda are significant and challenging. The right candidate will be technically excellent with solid engineering principles and strong leadership and people development skills. We seek world-class managers to lead one or more engineering teams.Project Description: This project centers on building advanced customer-facing AI-powered bots that enhance user experiences across multiple platforms. The bots are designed to simplify the pre-booking journey by providing quick, accurate responses to customer inquiries, combining cutting-edge technology with deep understanding of user behavior.In this Role, you'll get to:Maintain ownership and responsibility of mission critical systems.Guide one or more Agile teams to success.Engage in full stack, server, and mobile app engineering and guide server, client, and infrastructure staff to optimal solutions.Directly manage between 5 and 10 technology professionals and be responsible for their performance.What you'll Need to Succeed:At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams of 3 or more, 5+ years of experience in software engineering.Proficient with front-end web client-side technologies (React, Redux, JavaScript, SASS, performance optimization).Knowledge in back-end development, with experience in Kotlin and/or Python preferred.Knowledge in scale, microservices and clean architecture.Excellent people management and communication skills.B.S. in Computer Science or quantitative field; M.S. preferred.It's Great if you have:Machine Learning, GPT, prompt engineering and other AI project experience.Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or related AI/ML technologies is a plus.Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
