As a DevOps Engineer at Ivy Partners, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with system end users and other teams to understand technical and business needs, and functional specifications.
  2. Designing, implementing, and testing services.
  3. Participating in the industrialization process using DEVOPS concepts.
  4. Performing analysis of defects/incidents to find the root cause of problems.
  5. Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  6. Reviewing source code to ensure its alignment with specifications.
  7. Writing automation scripts.
  8. Transitioning from well-established software delivery procedures specific to each application to a new automated software delivery framework on an enterprise level.
  9. Collaborating with solution architecture (deployment platform, middleware, and application engineering) to design and develop a CI/CD solution based on existing CI/CD frameworks.
  10. Collaborating with software suppliers to define the structure and format of delivery packages.
  11. Developing and maintaining Puppet/Ruby deployment code.
  12. Participating in Agile/Scrum events with the SAFe Framework.

About You

  • You have proficiency in Spring Boot and Maven for service development and project management.
  • You are an expert with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, with strong analysis skills to understand the technical and business aspects of the existing CI/CD chain.
  • You possess solid scripting skills in Bash, Batch, and PowerShell.
  • You are proficient in Git for source control management.
  • You have experience with Puppet and Ruby for infrastructure automation.
  • You have hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and Docker environments.
  • You are familiar with Ansible or willing to learn and potentially transition parts of the infrastructure to Ansible.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Software Development using Java and 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • You are familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • You have a good understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in a DevOps context.
  • You are organized, able to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively.
  • You are adaptable, autonomous, rigorous, and appreciate teamwork.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in French or German is also an important advantage.
  • You are proactive in a self-organized team.
