Laboratory Chemist Intern

As Haelixa’s Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Swiss team based in Kemptthal, working in close cooperation with our internal R&D and operations teams. You will be responsible for various projects related to the DNA marker production, characterization, and scale-up.

Schedule: 6 months starting November 2024 (or another mutually agreed date), with a possibility of extension to a full-time position.

Holidays: 25 paid holidays/year.

Location: Kemptthal (Zurich), Switzerland or hybrid.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans based on the project scope, deadlines, and product requirements.
• Perform laboratory work related to the DNA marker colloid production, surface functionalization, and colloid characterization.
• Develop and optimize operating procedures, protocols, and standardize assays.
• Track, monitor, and report project risks, progress, and deliverables.
• Help the Haelixa team in delivering a great product

Your profile:

• Passionate about working in a start-up.
• MSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in working in a chemistry laboratory.
• Very well organized with a sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and capable of self-direction.
• Flexibility and energy to work in a high-speed and high-intensity environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
