Technical Cofounder for Rapidly Growing EdTech Startup

About Us

We are a team of seven skilled and motivated people that is giving it their all to make education more compatible with life. We have built an AI-enabled study platform for university students, which helps them automate and optimize their learning journey. In less than a year, we have scaled to XX'000 users with solid revenues. We are looking for a person who will take over the technical co-founder role and work alongside the two other co-founders (business background) to take Studyflash to the next level.

Role Overview

As the technical cofounder, you will be instrumental in managing and expanding our technological infrastructure and team. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from DevOps to software development and leading the dev team. You will lead the charge in spearheading product innovation based on user feedback and technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• DevOps and IT Infrastructure: Oversee IT infrastructure, deploy websites, scale IT resources efficiently and strategically planning for component scalability and application stability.
• Software Development: Use your software engineering expertise to develop and design software architecture, integrate APIs, and automate internal processes.
• Data Science: Leverage existing LLMs to optimize students' study journey, analyze and utilize user data for their benefit.
• Team Leadership: Offer guidance and support to developers, manage project (timelines), and lead dev meetings.
• Business and Product Development: Actively participate in funding initiatives, develop and maintain internal tools, and drive product innovation constantly adapting to user feedbacks and technical feasibility.
• Entrepreneurship: Take the lead, commit, work towards a common vision, ride the emotional rollercoaster and enjoy the journey.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Software engineering experience in backend development and/or ML engineering. Frontend engineering and design experience are welcome but not mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience in JavaScript to maintain existing applications.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong spirit of innovation, ideally supplemented by startup experience.
• A systematic problem-solver, enthusiastic about utilizing and learning new tools (like OpenAI API) for challenging AI-based solutions.
• A patient person who can focus intensely while having an ever-curious mind, excited to embrace new challenges and technologies.
