Our client is a leading renewable energy firm, and they are seeking a Quant Stratgist and Developer to join their dynamic oil trading team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong focus on data, analytics, and quantitative development, who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven trading environment to guide trading strategy. You will work closely with traders, building innovative tools and models that directly influence trading strategies and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge quantitative models and tools for oil trading.
  • Analyse and process large data sets to derive insights that inform trading decisions.
  • Contribute to trading strategies and risk management solutions.
  • Collaborate with traders to create solutions for market analysis, risk management, and strategy development.
  • Continuously enhance trading models and systems to adapt to market dynamics.
  • Design and deploy scalable solutions for data integration, processing, and visualisation.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python, C#, or similar, with a focus on quantitative development and modelling.
  • Solid experience in commodities trading, particularly in oil or related markets.
  • Proficiency in handling and analysing large-scale data sets; experience with SQL and other data tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of statistical modelling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with traders and other front-office teams.
