Dübendorf, Schweiz Odne AG Vollzeit

About Odne

Odne, (formerly Lumendo), founded in 2018 and ISO 13485 certified, aims to disrupt the endodontic device market in the US and EU. Our mission is to develop the most advanced solution for this very challenging dental procedure with disruptive cleaning technology and a novel, light-activated filler, thus helping people to keep their natural teeth longer.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and conscientious Lab Technician with previous experience in the medical (dental) device or pharma area to support our testing needs from early R&D up to production. You will be responsible for carrying out biochemical, material or chemical tests to investigate the performance of our prototypes and products in various situations (Verification & Validation phase, prototype testing, stability and shelf-life studies, product releases of production batches, etc.). Your testing lays the groundwork for deploying high-quality products in the market

Tasks

Key responsibilities

  • Defining and carrying out a wide range of tests in close collaboration with R&D, including the authoring of test plans and reports
  • Planning investigative testing with R&D, quickly iterating the plans based on first results
  • Ensuring an efficient management of routine product testing – both internal and external (e.g. stability tests, bioburden, etc.)
  • Managing the ordering and storage of stock lab consumables and equipment in close collaboration with Quality and R&D
  • Supporting our startup company in implementing best practices and/or standard operating procedure to achieve high quality lab work and cleanliness in the workspace
Requirements

What we expect

  • You are a skilled lab technician in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment (Biologielaborant or Chemielaborant) or related field with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ, eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis) or an equivalent training
  • You have at least 5 years of experience working in a highly regulated environment such as dental laboratories, medical devices, or pharma
  • Ideally you have experience with Verification and Validation of testing methods and can advise the team
  • You are meticulous in following test procedures and documenting results, and possible deviations
  • You enjoy investigating new areas and angles in tests and are not afraid of learning and applying new methods or techniques
  • You thrive equally on managing tests that are repetitive and routine, applying efficient procedures that avoid human error as much as possible
  • You strive for extremely high quality
  • You communicate openly and clearly with your team and your external collaborators and are aware of your own limits of understanding
  • You are open to interacting with many interesting people with varied backgrounds, becoming acquainted with breakthrough technologies and accepting new challenges
  • You integrate easily into a matrix-like structure and function well in a team, but you can also set and follow your own goals
  • You can process and summarize test conclusions concisely, allowing the relevant stakeholders to take quick decisions
  • You communicate at a professional level in English and ideally either German or French.
Benefits

What we offer

  • A work that matters and can help improve people’s life.
  • An opportunity to shape a growing MedTech startup and support the first market launch and growth phase.
  • A startup environment, giving you high responsibility and room for personal development and learning.
  • A young, entrepreneurial, international, and enthusiastic team of 10 people with a common goal.
  • Participation in the company’s success through an attractive Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
  • Flexible working hours, including the possibility of home office (when lab duties don't require physical presence). 25 days of holidays.
  • Well-located office close to Stettbach station.
