Head of Proprietary Trading

• Manage a well-established proprietary trading desk (5 FTE) focused on European physical and financial energy markets (power, gas, emissions)
• Oversee a relevant origination book (FLOW) deriving from sales and trading counterparties
• Generate substantial margins from speculative activities. Maximize return on VaR, while complying with assigned limits (VaR, trailing stop loss, credit, cash flow)
• Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration with Repower's Trading Desk in Milan
• Support Repower's Asset Trading team and Portfolio Management with fundamental views and market insights
• Liaise with Risk Management and Back Office for optimizing credit risk management, cash collateral and FX
• Develop ongoing knowledge and expertise in all markets where Repower is active and pursue new market opportunities
• Operational maintenance of all market access services for internal and external clients, coordination with vendors and collaboration in the development of new trading services
• Participation in trading projects

• 10+ years' experience in energy trading in European markets on a proprietary basis (Gas & Power)
• Proven track record of achieving successful and consistent proprietary trading results
• Previous experience in leading trading teams as Trading Manager or Lead Trader
• Extensive network of contacts within European commodity trading
• Knowledge of a programming language such as Python is an asset
• Willingness to learn Italian language (and ideally German)
• Willingness to relocate to Poschiavo, Switzerland
