It is owned by the Scherz family and is one of the last traditionally family-run Grand Hotels - a landmark in Switzerland.Supporting the Purchasing & Cost Controlling Manager in every way possibleManagement of the department in the absence of the Purchasing & Cost Controlling Manager to the best of your knowledge and abilityCo-responsible for the entire purchasing department (excluding fresh products)Carrying out operational purchasing in consultation with the Purchasing & Cost Controlling ManagerTaking on larger purchasing projectsSupervision and periodic evaluation of suppliers by means of analysesAnalysing and monitoring daily, monthly, semi-annual and annual financial statementsCo-supervision of F&B cost controllingCarrying out and analysing spot checksAnalysing various statisticsAccounts receivable and accounts payable controlProgramming the KOST merchandise management system and the MATRIX cash register systemCo-organisation and implementation of major eventsManagement of employees and apprenticesWorking closely with the Culinary Director and the F&B Operations and Groups & Events departments You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship in the hotel industry or a hotel management schoolYou have already gained several years of professional experience in a similar position in first-class hotels and have good negotiating skillsIn addition to your quality awareness, you are characterised by flexibility, resilience, team spirit and enthusiasmAbility to communicate in German, French, English and Italian, other languages an advantageVery good computer skills (MS Office, Excel and Word) are a prerequisiteYou are loyalEfficient and structured way of workingNetworked and analytical thinkingEnjoy working in a team and with other departmentsWilling to take on responsibility
