Main Purpose:
The Fundamentals Analyst works in Trafigura's Research Team, providing daily support to Trafigura's trading desks and strategic planning and business development efforts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in fundamental analytics with a focus on European Naphtha markets.
  • Ability to build and maintain fundamental supply/demand models and forecast physical trade flows.
  • Previous experience in a risk manager role (p&l monitoring, exposure and hedging) would be a strong plus.
  • Advanced understanding of blending across various components (Med, WAF, FOB, TA and Antwerp).
  • Experience in curve building methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding and command of market drivers, fundamentals, pricing, and Naphtha markets / Naphtha trading terminology.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel and the use of intermediate and advanced functions.
  • Programming skills (Python, VBA, SQL) and experience in automating data.
  • First-class degree in a STEM subject, with additional Masters also preferred.
