About Our Client
Our client is a steadily growing commodity trading company seeking a dynamic and organized operator to support the administrative operations of the Geneva office.

Job Description


  • Perform tasks in line with business booked by traders and in accordance with signed contracts, including:
    • Preparing invoice drafts
    • Reviewing draft LC (Letter of Credit) documents and presenting signed documents to the bank
    • Checking invoices sent by customers
    • Managing email communication and document exchange with customers on various business matters, such as vessel information, invoices, insurance certificates, payment confirmations, and pricing period confirmations


  • Obtain internal approvals and signatures for payments


  • Coordinate with warehouses for cargo storage, certificate issuance, and release of goods


  • Provide necessary information to financing banks as required


  • Prepare and review laytime calculations


  • Appoint supervision and assaying companies for cargo inspections


  • Enter trades, invoices, and operational data into the CTRM system

A fluency in Turkish to be able to deal with customers, freight forwarders, and warehouse managers would be highly desirable.

The Successful Applicant
  • Candidate must be fluent in English & ideally Turkish. Any other language is a plus particularly Spanish, and/or Chinese.
  • Previous experience in metals trading / logistics / dry bulk laytime calculations is a plus.
  • Must be team player; willingness to learn
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Good logical and analytical skills, critical mindset
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook
