For one of our clients, an Financial Company based in Vaud, we are looking for a:

FOREX & CASH TRADER

Job description

  • Effectively manage short-term liquidity and currency exposure, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Handle currency overlay strategies and active exposure management.
  • Oversee daily cash transactions.
  • Support direct investments within the Fixed Income portfolio and actively participate in investment discussions.
  • Contribute to defining core macroeconomic views and assessing their investment implications.
  • Generate ad-hoc and regular analytical reports for the Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM), including regulatory compliance information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-currency cash management, currency overlay, or FX trading.
  • Deep understanding of global forex markets, fundamental analysis, financial instruments, and strategy research.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms such as Bloomberg or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Office applications; knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and hands-on personality with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture effective relationships.
