Job Description

Define and implement the regional Education Events strategy in line with the global strategyManage the regional Education Events team, monitor team activities and progresses, identify and escalate issues, develop solutions - Facilitate smooth and seamless collaboration of the entire delivery team in the regionEnsure the appropriate implementation of the operating model in the region based on the Global Education Process (GEP)Monitor and manage regional Education Events budget and adhere to financial targetsContribute to develop global solutions for the key event delivery systems to foster improvements in the region and ensure efficient use within the delivery team and the whole organizationManage regional key stakeholders such as surgeons acting as course chairs and on boardsEnsure compliance with laws and regulations in the regionAnnual budget planning for the events in the region as part of AOs yearly budgeting cycleClose collaboration with Internal and external stakeholders leadership in order to foster smooth operations in the regionPlan of educational activities based on ANA (annual needs assessment) on regional levelManaging the Regional Board of one or more clinical specialties and country councils ensuring that the Annual needs assessment process runs efficiently to create accurate results in line with the strategicResponsible for the Regional Education Events budget and the total number of planned events in the regionJob Requirements

University Master or Bachelor degree in business, science, medicine or similarAt least 10 years professional experience in a similar roleMinimum 7 years of people management experience or relevant leadership experienceProven experience in driving positive social impact through targeted and effective network developmentExperience in medical events/course organization would be an advantageFluent written and verbal English, other regional relevant languages are a plusProven leadership skills and the ability to manage, motivate and inspire a diverse teamAbility to establish and implement a strategic planHigh level of project and program management skills
