Senior Internal Auditor

- Overseeing the complete process of operational and compliance audits on trading operations, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Conducting risk assessments and crafting risk-focused audit plans to identify and mitigate potential operational and compliance risks associated with trading operations.
- Assessing the effectiveness of the internal control environment and identifying areas for improvement.
- Drafting audit reports in a clear and concise manner.
- Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and ensuring closure of actions with auditees.
- Supervising timely execution with the support of junior resources.
- Providing training and mentorship to junior audit staff.
- Extensive knowledge of the commodities trading industry across all facets: physical, shipping, and derivatives (mandatory).
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in an internal audit function or similar, with a focus on the commodities trading industry.
- Demonstrated success in designing and managing audit engagements in commodities trading, covering core risk areas like Compliance, Market (price, forex, interest), and Credit risks.
- Degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Recognized professional qualification in audit and/or controlling such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in audit procedures, techniques, and test/sampling methods.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts to draw conclusions.
- Experience with accounting systems and proficiency in MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
