Virtualization Engineer VMware / Storage - Netapp / Pure vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
- Designing, implementing, and managing virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
- Monitoring and maintaining the health, performance, and capacity of virtual infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to virtualization, networking, and storage
- Performing regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing
- Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of virtualized systems
- Developing and maintaining documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations
Your experience/knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and operating resilient virtualization platforms based on VMware technology
- Deep understanding of Storage, Network and Compute in an enterprise virtualization context
- Proven experience with converged infrastructure and software defined network and storage technologies
- Expertise with NetApp and Pure storage systems
- In-depth understanding of datacentre technologies, requirements, and processes
- Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken
Your soft skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
