The Senior Capital Manager and Group Insurance Officer plays a crucial role within the Julius Baer Group. This individual is responsible for overseeing the Group's capital transactions, maintaining liquidity at the top holding level, and managing the Group's insurance programs. Some of the key responsibilities include:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of both external and internal capital transactions for Julius Baer Group / Bank Julius Baer, including hybrid capital
  • Supervising the internal dividend collection and planning process while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Leading equity injections, capital reductions, and debt financings for legal entities in close collaboration with tax, legal, and local management teams
  • Evaluating and potentially executing risk transfer and asset-backed funding transactions
  • Ensuring liquidity at the top holding level of the Group
  • Managing Group insurance policies with a focus on financial lines in partnership with an insurance broker
  • Handling employee DBO schemes (outside of Switzerland) in collaboration with insurance brokers
  • Maintaining relationships with key investment banks and rating agencies
YOUR PROFILE
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional social skills combined with effective communication abilities
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar role or within a capital markets department of an investment bank
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results within strict deadlines through efficient process management
  • Willingness to take on end-to-end responsibilities, including operational tasks
  • Good understanding of IFRS and tax implications related to capital markets is a plus
  • Fluent in English and German, additional language skills are advantageous
