The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS develops internationally coordinated reference masses and passes them on to the Swiss economy, research and administration with the required accuracy through calibrations. This also includes powerful and broad-based IT that we operate, maintain and further develop ourselves internally.

Your new challenge

• Application of ML/AI methods to evaluate uncertain measurement data from lithium-ion batteries.
• Participation in an international project on battery technology with the participation of partners from industry and research.
• Collaboration in building a software library for uncertainty propagation through ML models.
• Development and support of international research and development projects.

Your profile

• Completed university degree in natural sciences or engineering with a doctorate or professional experience. Current knowledge in the field of ML/AI in theory and practice.
• Good statistics and programming knowledge as well as experience in project management and in the preparation of project proposals.
• Enthusiasm for scientific projects and the ability to theoretically analyze problems and translate them into practical investigations and feasible solutions.
• Solution-oriented, flexible and team-oriented personality who easily tackles new challenges.
• Very good knowledge of English and knowledge of an official language.
