The Professional University School of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI) is offering two positions as Scientific Collaborator / Scientific Collaborator in computer engineering and data engineering at the Institute for Information Systems and Networking (ISIN) of the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI) based in Lugano. 100% occupancy rate. Entry into service 1 October 2024 or date to be agreed.
Responsibilities and activities
- Contribute to the implementation of applied research projects in the fields of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and Data Engineering, in collaboration with local companies.
- Actively contribute to the development of the Institute.
Requirements
Essential
- Master's degree in computer engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Skills in software engineering and the application of software development methodologies.
- Skills in data engineering and data science.
- Knowledge of the main languages, frameworks and software development tools, with particular attention to solutions for applied Machine and Deep Learning.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.
- Good interpersonal skills, good organizational skills and propensity for problem solving.
- Good ability to work in heterogeneous work groups combined with the ability to manage problems independently.
- Skills in computer vision and audio-video processing.
- Skills in cloud computing and distributed systems.
- Skills in developing virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality applications.
- Team management experiences.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Italian.
- Knowledge of a second national language.
- Knowledge of the Swiss industrial context.
