Solutions Engineer

For our Solutions Engineering community, we are looking for a Solutions Engineer to contribute to the development of tailored customer solutions related to physical connectivity, ensuring power, data and signal transfer built on connector, cable assembly and electronic solutions for our direct customers in Switzerland, Italy and Israel, as well as our distribution partners in the EMEA region.
What you will do in your role
- Understand customer technical challenges and transform them into technical solutions
- Conduct inspiring face to face customer visits in collaboration with the Sales Force and Key Accounts Managers (calls & visits up to 40%)
- Establish and participate to the design of connectivity solutions with a strong cable assembly system contribution
- Collaborate with engineers from the global footprint (Design, Electronics, Signal Integrity, Logistics, etc.) to develop and review technical solutions that implement the customer's needs
- Generate technical drawings and create commercial proposal together with the Sales Team
- Manage projects from development until hand-over to Operations depending on complexity
- Supervise new, complex and key-account related products from conception to development and prototyping through first production, in collaboration with the dedicated Project Manager
- Keep up to date with advancing and improving technologies (products, processes and manufacturing capabilities)
- Nurture our solutions portfolio
- Help improve workflow and tools to optimize connectivity solutions offering
The experience and skills you will bring
- Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines, such as microtechnology or electrical engineering
- Experience or strong motivation in customer facing activities
- Basic experience in CAD software
- Knowledge in one or several of the following is welcome: connectivity, cable technology, electronics, signal integrity, fiber optic
- Background or proven experience in new product development is a plus
- Experience in ERP software (SAP) is a plus

- Fluent in English (min. C1 level) and B2+ level in French
- Demonstrate strong interest towards new product development and customer facing activities
- Strong communication skills to develop trustful relationships with customers
- Team player, open to cross-department collaboration
- Rigorous, structured and analytical
- Problem-solving attitude and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
