About the Role
Responsibilities will include:
As a Product Manager of the "Small Molecule Production & Characterization" product, you co-lead, together with a Product Operations Manager and a Technical Lead, a matrix team to support the design, creation, registration and characterization of small molecules and related modalities. You develop and evolve a well-rounded vision, strategy, and roadmap to continuously increase the business value of your product. Your role also involves creating and shaping a hub of cheminformatics expertise to support other teams with this capability.
You will Combine your knowledge of chemistry, cheminformatics, and drug discovery with your matrix leadership skills to co-lead a team consisting of operational, technical, and scientific members and to run a high-impact and globally deployed product consisting of a portfolio of chemistry software applications.
Ensure that these applications are aligned to a capability-based and intentional product architecture, and continuously increase their value to deliver significant impact to drug discovery in line with the strategic mandates of the Research Workflows Product Line.
Role Requirements:- Provide strategic context to the product team, facilitate prioritization, and practice good team-based decision-making while taking smart risks.
- Define, communicate and measure success criteria together with internal and business stakeholders, and work closely together to ensure that the product provides the required values to BR's drug discovery
- Shape your teams' processes for success and cultivate a learning environment, and help create a strong community of cheminformatics in RX.
- Support your team members in challenging situations and act as a mentor for more junior associates.
- Ensure adherence to security, quality, and regulatory standards and policies, including GxP compliance if applicable.
- Be a domain expert in chemistry and cheminformatics (e.g. small molecule design or registration), ideally with hands-on experience in laboratory, and broad knowledge of drug discovery.
- Lead effectively in a co-leadership model inside of a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication skills, through writing and speaking. Fluency in English required.
- Creativity in identifying, encouraging, and accelerating innovative solutions,including expanding into different areas based on changing scientific and team needs.
- Cultivate change, handle conflict, and create alignment through direct and indirect influence.

- Experienced in product management in scientific environments and have an intrinsic drive to improve the quality, speed, and impact of scientific research by providing exceptional software products.
