Product Manager Platform

Job Overview

The Product Manager Platform is the glue between the business side and technical side of an organization. She/he has a deep understanding what technology is required to meet the business requirements and how to successfully bring a product to life and manage it through its entire commercial life cycle. To reach this goal the product manager works closely with innovation, design and engineering teams on product features and capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain the product technical requirements based on customer feedback, regulatory requirements, market trends and business needs.
  • Define and maintain product/ platform strategy & roadmap with inputs from the portfolio strategy & customer solutions team.
  • Manage existing product/ platform throughout the whole life cycle (including platform life cycle plan).
  • Lead cross-function platform life cycle team and own the platform life cycle backlog
  • Support the selection of technical solutions for quotations based on customer requirements. Act as gate keeper ensuring alignment between customer specific designs and their corresponding platform.
  • Work well with internal cross functional teams, including product development, commercial, sustainability , quality and operations so that product requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Facilitate creation and maintenance of proper product documentation (product configuration).
  • Coordinate product launch plan with marketing, sales, and development teams.
  • Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product and answer incoming questions about the product and its specifications.
  • Monitor and study competitors' products.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of product and/or project management experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to coordinate all product related activities with cross-functional teams that include innovation, design, engineering, sales and marketing.
  • Ability to use high quality organizational and project management skills to delegate, set objectives, prioritize and measure progress.
  • Have skills and techniques to negotiate positively for mutual agreement on strategies, roadmap plans and key features.
  • Ability to effectively interface with customers.

Preferred qualifications

  • Technical / engineering background is plus
