For our Research & Technology (R&T) at the headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland or in Katowice, Poland we are looking for an

Engineer Advanced SustainabilitySwitzerland - Winterthur - 100%

Your responsibilities
  • Calculate the scope 3 emissions from direct purchased materials for Autoneum globally
  • Develop a process to progressively collect and use primary emission factors from key materials
  • Manage a robust database of material emission factors (primary and secondary data) per material families and business group in line with external audit quality level
  • Grow the level of expertise in Autoneum in product sustainability evaluation in line with external (OEMs) and internal customers (business groups)
  • Calculate Life Cycle Analysis to understand environmental impacts drivers and identify areas of improvements
  • Perform internal (purchasing, DECs, AQP) and external trainings (supply chain) on sustainability matters, especially on Product LCA and material carbon footprint
  • Support the evaluation of future availability of low emission recycled materials
  • Support the development of the R&T sustainability evaluation tool (ISE)
Your qualifications
  • PhD or Post Doc degree in Polymer, Textile or Composite Engineering and Sustainable Development / Circular Economy or
  • 2 years of experience with a master's or dual system bachelor or
  • 4 years with a Bachelor or 11 years relevant experience after apprenticeship/Technical school
  • Experience in Life Cycle Analysis / sustainability evaluations (according to ISO standards)
  • Organized with hands on and practical approach
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to run trainings in English, other languages, German or French are an advantage
