We are looking for a C++ Software Development Engineer with a passion for the development of technically complex systems.
At our R&D site in Baden with more than 400 employees we specialize in the development of imaging soft- and hardware for cancer treatment.
The Varian Medical Systems Imaging Laboratory offers a respectful, friendly, open and international working environment, regular training and education, flexible work time management, competitive salaries and excellent fringe benefits. In this new position in a team of around eight highly competent engineers you will be working on the development and integration of the x-ray image acquisition systems for our radiation therapy linear accelerators.
Core Responsibilities
- Development of real-time software for x-ray imaging in C++ running on a Xeon CPU under VxWorks/Linux
- Integration of hardware modules for image acquisition and processing
- Integrate image processing algorithm on GPU
- Integration of x-ray imaging into medical products
- Development of application software in C# for service application and production test system
- Development of automated test software
- In-house integration testing of image acquisition systems on real linear accelerators
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering degree from a technical institute or university with experience in software development
- At least 3 years of experience with C++, preferably C++11 or newer
- Experiences in C#/.NET is an advantage
- Experiences with real-time operating systems, such as VxWorks or Linux kernel, is desirable
- Knowledge in electronics is a plus
- Fluency in both German and English language
- Forward thinking mindset and a structured way of working with an emphasis on getting things done

You are used to working independently, open to discussing ideas and solutions with your colleagues.
