(Senior) Manager Business Strategy and Commercial Excellence Partnering Business

Männedorf, Zurich

Your contribution

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving business strategy initiatives and fostering commercial excellence within our global Partnering Business. You'll play a key role in supporting the formulation and implementation of business strategies, driving commercial excellence initiatives, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to prioritize and execute Tecan-wide projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and communicate key business strategies and progress to stakeholders, including Tecan Management Board and Tecan Board of Directors.
  • Lead selected business strategy projects commissioned by the Commercial Excellence office, collaborating closely with business verticals.
  • Support M&A target screening, deal preparation, and commercial due diligence activities in collaboration with Corporate Development and Commercial Excellence office.
  • Drive and monitor commercial excellence execution within sales organizations, recommending actions and improvements to enhance commercial effectiveness.
  • Act as a change agent to drive business improvement within the commercial organization, supporting capability development through workshops, trainings, and coaching.
  • Coordinate global Partnering Business management meetings and business reviews.
  • Support coordination of business projects requiring cross-departmental collaboration, including mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integrations.

Your background

  • Master's degree in Life Sciences-relevant disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering) or in Business with relevant experience.
  • Fluent English, additional languages are welcome.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, with a focus on management consulting.
  • Proven exposure to the Life Sciences or MedTech industry, preferably within a B2B healthcare context.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing business plans and financial business cases, including proficiency in P&L, NPV, and DCF analysis.
  • Track record in commercial excellence and consulting of commercial teams, showcasing strategic insight and operational effectiveness.
  • Hands-on experience with mergers & acquisitions or post-merger integrations, navigating complex business landscapes with agility and finesse.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on mentality for implementation.
  • Ability to structure projects despite complexity or ambiguity.
