On is seeking a passionate Process Improvement Specialist with experience in assessing, monitoring, and enhancing operations and process improvement initiatives with a focus on our Footwear creation functions.
In this role, you will analyze current practices and implement sustainable and repeatable improvements in workflows and processes to ensure continuous company performance. The Process Improvement Specialist works on problems of diverse scope and complexity, under minimal supervision, and uses
independent judgment to determine the best course of action. This position is a mix
of project management, collaborative thinking, consulting and communication skills.
As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational and communication skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You like working with diverse teams to strategize and develop new levels of productivity and success at On.
Your mission
– Proactively seek to understand operational challenges to gain insight and pinpoint opportunities for improvement by leveraging synergies and building efficiencies in product creation functions.
– Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmarks.
– Provide, through collaboration with cross functional teams, an objective assessment of business operations and actionable plans to streamline the processes, including but not limited to defining the process scope, limits, outputs/inputs, sequential steps, and contributors/stakeholders/owners.
– Document new and existing processes/process improvements through action plans, project roadmaps (where applicable), and regular communication to ensure project milestones and deliverables are
implemented in a timely manner.
– Create step by step guidelines and visual diagrams via process mapping, collaboration and project management tools.
– Establish measurements to determine the effectiveness of the process and review and test the process to implement improvements as needed
Your story
– Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, engineering or a related field
– 4 or more years of consulting and/or process improvement experience, preferably for a Footwear company
– 2 or more years of project management experience
– Strong business acumen balanced with analytical and interpersonal skills in order to see the big picture and draw out insights and observations
– Strong communication skills (verbal & written) as well as the ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the global organization
– Highly detailed oriented and organized
– Problem solver with a proven ability to perform in a fast paced, highly complex organization
– Must be a self starter with a high level of accountability/ownership and a team player with a positive can-do attitude
– Quick and independent learner, able to synthesize organizational needs and system capabilities

The Product Operations team consists of a group of 5 subteams that empower people and productivity through meaningful collaboration and a positive mindset. We strive to rethink the status quo
and grow together. We ensure the correct information flow across internal and
external teams and streamline operations by managing calendars, building SOPs,
implementing software (such as PLM), and synthesizing data across many channels.
The team aims for operational excellence with a global mindset as On's R&D teams
are located across multiple locations around the world.
