Your responsibilities

At Art Basel, we're looking for someone like you - dynamic and organized - to join
our team as a Gallery & Project Manager. Your role will be crucial in providing
comprehensive support to galleries participating in our prestigious fairs in Basel
and Miami Beach. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of gallery
presentations, managing logistical aspects, and maintaining strong relationships
with our di-verse range of partners.

  • You'll guide and support galleries through the application and selection
    process for Art Basel in Basel, facilitating smooth interactions and ensuring
    a seamless experience for participants
  • You will organize internal and external meetings, including booking meeting
    rooms, setting up AV equipment, and coordinating catering services. You'll
    oversee and manage Excel lists for gallery selection meetings, ensuring
    accurate and efficient processes.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining up-to-date statistics of Art Basel
    gallery applications and selection results
  • You'll assist galleries in the administrative and logistical planning of their
    booth build-out, includ-ing special orders from internal and external partners.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable as you provide advice on presentation
    strategies to enhance the gallery's presence at the fairs in Basel and Miami
    Beach
  • On site, you'll act as the point person for overseeing booth build-out
    activities during the fairs in Basel and Miami Beach, ensuring adherence to
    established guidelines and timelines
  • You'll be the project manager of the Kabinett sector of Art Basel in Basel
    and will lead the booth signage production and installation process in Hall 2
  • Perform data entry and maintenance tasks related to gallery records,
    ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Additional
    administrative duties upon assignment
  • Coordination among multiple departments (VIP Relations, Digital,
    Partnership, Marketing, Communication and Content, Legal)
Your profile
  • You bring 3-5 years of experience in a fair, gallery, museum, or equivalent
    institution setting or a university degree in an art-related field
  • Your strong customer service skills will shine as you interact with diverse
    stakeholders in a professional and service-oriented manner
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both
    verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational and analytical skills, with
    meticulous attention to detail
  • You thrive under pressure and are capable of managing long hours during
    the intensity of fair periods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics,
    Salesforce), and CMS sys-tems
  • Native proficiency in German and fluent English is required to effectively
    engage with our international clientele
  • Flexibility to travel periodically and work overtime as needed
