Responsibilities: ResearchConduct research on finance, quantitative methods, predictive analytics, and big data applications in hospitalityPublish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferencesDevelop new methodologies to address data-driven challenges in the hospitality sectorDevelop and enhance the Glion Research & Innovation Center (GRIC), actively fostering a vibrant research culture within the institutionDisseminate research findings within the institutionContribute and facilitate GRIC eventsAdditional individual KPIs to be regularly discussed with the line manager AcademicDesign and deliver finance courses and quantitative research methods, data analysis, econometrics, and statistical modelling for hospitality at undergraduate and graduate levelsEmploy engaging teaching techniques, such as data simulations, hands-on analytics tools, and real-world datasets, to ensure applied learningProvide guidance and feedback to students on research methodologies and data-driven projectsParticipate in curriculum development to integrate advanced analytical topics aligned with industry needs Profile and experiences: or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant fieldExpertise in finance, quantitative methods and statistical analysis for hospitality and/or luxury brands researchStrong track record in finance, quantitative methods and statistical analysis for hospitality and/or luxury brands researchAbility to design and conduct rigorous research, analyze data, and write for academic publicationDeep knowledge and understanding of finance, data analysis, quantitative research methods, statisticsFluency in English is essential.
