In order to strengthen its team, the School of Engineering is inviting applications for a position of: Senior academic associate UAS - Biotechnology (80-100%) Your missionContribute to the teaching in BiotechnologyProvide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to students throughout their educational journeyUndertake R&D projects and industrial assignments within the Institute of Life SciencesParticipate in the acquisition of R&D project mandates Your profilePhD in Bioprocess Engineering or related field; a minimum of 5 years of work experience, academia and industry, in process development, biotechnological production or a related fieldDemonstrated background in biopharmaceutics, downstream processing and process engineeringProven proficiency in programming with a focus on scientific programming, as well as design and analysis of experimentsPrior experience in project management, R&D project acquisition is highly appreciatedConsidered advantageous: experience in molecular biology, formulation, teaching, and a solid publication track recordFluent in English, proficiency in either French or German Employment: 80-100%Place of work: SionStarting date: 1 June 2026 or to be agreed upon For further information please contact Birgit Sievert, Head of Life Science Engineering (birgit.sievert(α)Please submit your complete application documents (CV, motivation letter, diplomas and certificates) by 10 January 2026 by clicking on the Apply button.
