VMware Systems Engineer - Powershell, Python, Virtualisation and Automation - this is a long term contract opportunity to join our Basel based client in the Financial Services sector. Your tasks: Manage the virtualization platform VMware, including troubleshooting, monitoring performance, and ensuring capacity and availability.Drive the implementation of automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Monitor system performance and environmental conditions, identifying and escalating potential issues.Assist with racking, stacking, and connecting devices (Servers, network, storage).Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of storage solutions. Your experience/knowledge: Extensive experience as a Virtualization System Engineer.Strong skills with VMware or similar technologies.Good knowledge of Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for implementing automation tasks.Experience implementing automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.Language skills: English Your soft skills: Strong communication skills.Proactive attitude.Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and handle critical incidents as needed.
