Director Regulatory Science


This role will afford you the opportunity to have an immediate impact locally with our Swiss team and clients and to develop professionally by providing exposure to global projects and a diverse portfolio of client products.


Role overview

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on regulatory matters, with a focus on Swiss Medic.
  • Develop and implement strategies to help clients achieve regulatory compliance and bring their products to market.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, including Swiss Medic, to ensure that clients are aware of regulatory requirements and are able to meet them.
  • Collaborate with VCLS colleagues to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
  • Sustain expert level knowledge of regulatory developments and changes both locally and globally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Become a valued and relied upon partner who our client can trust and rely upon.
  • Contribute meaningfully to preproject tasks Preproject tasks (incl. drafting of proposals, participation to RFPs and scoping calls, meetings or teleconferences with prospects, etc.)
  • Present at domestic/international conferences and/or webinars and/or writing articles in area of expertise
  • Develop client portfolios (identification of new client, development of existing ones) and participate in BusDev activities as per Activity/ Product BD plan and in close relationship with regional BD team and Heads
  • Notify / present / discuss Strategic Advisory Board relevant information regarding emerging areas of development and/or potential new services

Requirements:

  • 10+ years proven professional regulatory experience in relevant fields
  • Deep understanding of Swiss regulatory landscape
  • A demonstrable ability to provide expert regulatory advice and guidance
  • An interest in coaching, developing and leading colleagues
  • Experience in Project Management
