Plant Metallurgist

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic plant metallurgist to be fully immersed in running a mineral processing plant. From strategizing production rates, establishing operational guidelines, tackling technical metallurgical challenges, identifying cost-effective strategies to enhance equipment dependability.

Accountabilities

• Provide operational targets and parameters to meet production goals.
• Offer operational support to ensure production objectives are met.
• Create detailed reports on daily metallurgical performance and testing.
• Present metal balance data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis while managing metallurgical accounting systems.
• Maintain essential metallurgical tools like OSA PI system, Expert System.
• Assist in the technical training of operators.
• Conduct experiments and trials to boost metallurgical efficiency and reduce operational expenses.

Successful candidates should possess:

• Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy/Minerals Processing or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operations within a mineral processing plant preferred.
• Understanding of Crushing, HMP, milling, flotation, dewatering, and leach circuits would be advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and driven to seek opportunities for enhancing metallurgical performance.
