Your role

We are looking for a Tech Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us to:

  • administer crucial infrastructure for platforms, both on-premise and in the Cloud
  • implement migrations, upgrades, and patches across all environments
  • create/Manage new on-boarding projects
  • assist a large user community with technical support
  • ensure lights-on" support-services are up and running for all environments
  • help Define and Build automation routines to improve the service
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams like engineering, hardware, platform services, and operations
  • occasional on-call / weekend support is required to support critical activities during non-business hours
Your team

You will be working in the Data Platform Service, Site Reliability Engineering Team based in Zurich, Switzerland to operate and engineer data technologies and services based on Alteryx, Dataiku, Cloudera and Informatica products.

We work closely with Product Engineering Teams, and you will be party to a new Center of Excellence for UBS Analytics.

As a member of the Site Reliability Engineering Team, which has a global footprint and works with clients around the world, we will drive consistency across business divisions and optimize operations by providing timely, robust, cost-effective solutions to our clients.

Your expertise

  • hands-on administrative experience with one or more of the following: Alteryx Server, Dataiku, preferable or Cloudera, Informatica, ideally 2-5+ years
  • knowledge of various tools in Alteryx Designer and Unix and/or Windows Administration experience is a plus
  • an Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution-design thinking
  • Dev-Ops experience with Unix Shell, Python, PowerShell scripting, or other programming languages
  • a proven track-record of influencing IT stakeholders and Business Partners
  • a confident communicator that can explain complex technologies to any audience
