Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to become part of our team in St Gallen or Zürich. You will also have the chance to work remotely for a few days per week or more (within Switzerland).

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage modern, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems in the finance field.
  • Provide resolution for IT operational issues, offering troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Deliver expertise in System Operations (SysOps) and Administration to our clients, enhancing delivery speed, resource optimization, availability improvement, and boosting quality and performance of applications/products/platforms/systems.
  • Monitor production systems' health and platforms, setting up proactive alerts and coordinating with related teams for efficient issue resolution.
  • Show a mindset of continuous improvement, acquiring new technologies and concepts through our internal educational program.
  • Create detailed technical and non-technical documentation for the implementation of new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in deploying, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting Linux server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking, database, storage, and virtualization systems and technologies in the finance sector.
  • Fluency in German, along with a good command of English.
  • Proficiency in container technologies like Docker and Openshift.
  • Experience in integrating monitoring technologies such as Icinga or ELK.
  • Solid understanding of Ansible and Gitlab for automation and version control.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and frameworks, including Bash and Python.
  • Prior experience in hosting Java environments.
