Midwife Position at MSF

As a midwife at MSF, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to sexual and reproductive health. Your role will include planning, organising, and implementing health activities, as well as providing pre- and post-delivery care. You will also be involved in training and supervising local midwives and managing maternity departments in health centres. Additionally, you may work with survivors of sexual violence and community birth attendants to ensure safe practices.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, and implement sexual and reproductive health activities
  • Assist field doctors and nurses
  • Provide pre- and post-delivery care
  • Train and supervise midwives
  • Ensure referrals to the Expanded Programme on Immunisation
  • Set up maternity departments
  • Work with survivors of sexual violence
  • Supervise drug distribution and administrative procedures

Your qualifications should include a registered midwife certification, at least two years of professional experience, and recent clinical experience. Additionally, fluency in English and/or French, willingness to work in diverse contexts, and IT skills are required.
