Your Main Tasks and Challenges

  • You will autonomously oversee the operational management of the senior center and lead the 170 employees
  • Based on the foundation board's company strategy, service mandate, and annual goals, you will define operational objectives and budgets to ensure the business's profitability
  • With your team, you will ensure a personalized and high-quality care for the residents based on the latest gerontological findings
  • Together with your leadership team, you will shape the culture of the senior center in all areas. Our residents value the "family-like" environment and respectful interactions. Embodying this corporate culture leads to high satisfaction among all stakeholders
  • You will maintain collaborative relationships with relatives, authorities, doctors, institutions, and associations
  • Together with the board of trustees, you will identify trends, new developments, and upcoming regulations, contributing to the foundation's continuous development

Your Skills and Experience

  • Enjoyment in interacting with people and several years of proven leadership experience in managing a healthcare institution or a private enterprise
  • Solid business knowledge, completed nursing home management training, or an equivalent qualification in leadership and organization with a diploma or master's degree. Sound knowledge in gerontology
  • Open, communicative, and empathetic personality with exceptional leadership skills, who radiates calm and security in hectic situations and fosters an inclusive environment
  • Conceptual entrepreneurial thinking with a structured and organizational approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Alterszentrum Schiffländi Gränichen
We provide a home for around 100 residents in three living areas, including a decentralized living group for people with dementia. One of our goals is to preserve and promote the autonomy of our residents for as long as possible.
