In view of an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a legal assistant in Alpiq's legal department. If you enjoy varied activities and a good deal of autonomy, this may be your next challenge.

The legal assistant manages a range of administrative legal tasks for the Alpiq Group and supports the General Counsel and legal department on general administrative tasks.

The position reports directly to Alpiq's General Counsel and is based in Olten, Switzerland.

Your main responsibilities

  • Carrying out general administrative and organisational tasks to support the General Counsel and legal department, such as management of documents and files (hardcopy and digital), mail & couriers, expenses, organisation of meetings, trips and team events, support on PowerPoint presentations and other documents, maintenance of external counsel list, management of general queries, etc.
  • Management and support of legal library (books, periodicals and subscriptions)
  • Management and support for signatory powers, including preparation of Board of Directors minutes granting, amending or removing signatory powers, registrations with Commercial Register, maintenance of list of signatories, Signavio Process Management
  • Notarisation and legalisation (incl. Apostilles) of signatures and documents
  • Management of mandate agreements for Alpiq employees holding mandates in Alpiq legal entities
  • Support on Alpiq's Legal Entity tool (shareholdings and office holders in Alpiq legal entities)
  • Management of legal department accounts payable, including invoice verification and uploading into invoicing tool

Your profile

  • Minimum of a commercial degree (or equivalent), paralegal qualification/course of advantage
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar function, preferably in a law firm or a legal department, ideally with experience in Switzerland and in an international environment
  • Fluent in German and English, and ideally can also read and communicate in French
  • Very good computer skills (including Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams/SharePoint)
  • Motivated, reliable, and a resilient person, and able to work autonomously
  • Precise way of working, pleasant manners and enjoying working in a team
