Your team:

  • Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment group and a wholly owned subsidiary of Pictet with expertise in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and private debt. With teams based globally, PAA constructs, manages and advises portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.

Pictet has high growth ambitions for PAA for the coming years, notably to expand its product and solution offering as well as further develop its institutional and intermediary client base.

In view of these developments, PAA is looking to hire a Legal to join the Legal team comprising high-achieving investment professionals.


Your role:

  • Prepare and review fundrelated documentation.
  • Instruct and manage external counsel in relation to funds creation and transactional work.
  • Review intragroup agreements between group and affiliates, such as delegation agreements and service level agreements.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory/industry developments and provide periodic updates.
  • Cooperate with different teams such as the Operations, Finance, Investment Specialists and Product Mangers to implement product solutions.
  • Assess and strengthen the products proposal in terms of their viability, relevance, valueadd for the clients and alignment with the wider business strategy.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders to create crossfunctional synergies.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the relevant industry and productrelated trends and regulations (e.g. SFDR) to ensure leading product positioning.
  • Be a leader of continuous improvement of our governance and product development processes.

Your profile:

  • Attorney's licence.
  • Three to five years of experience, in a law firm or a financial institution with a focus on investment/asset management, ideally in private markets and specifically covering fund formation, regulatory and compliance, product management.
  • Practical knowledge of operations and financial products. Ideally previous experience with different fund types, such as ELTIFs, semi liquid products, jurisdictional funds and registrations, as well as 'plain vanilla'.
  • Ability to work with different service providers; legal and operational.
  • Strong project management experience and attention to detail.
  • Natural communicator and enthusiastic personality.
  • Eager to learn, helpful and solutions driven.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and with teams in multiple locations.
  • Full proficiency in English and French, be comfortable to discuss complex legal matters in both languages. Understanding of German a plus.
  • The position can be based either in Luxembourg or Geneva. If Geneva based, must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
