As one of the main suppliers to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst with mid to senior level expertise and strong threat hunting skills to join a tight-knit and highly skilled Security Operations Team on a contract basis starting promptly.
This is a rolling 12-month contract with the possibility to extend for up to five years.
The SOC Analyst will be involved in tier 1-3 incident report activities (working comprehensively based on a Tier List Model) and will handle incidents and alerts using relevant technologies.
You will become part of a small team of seasoned cyber security enthusiasts leading the way in their field and coming from various parts of the world, managing incident responses, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
Your duties will include the following:
- Providing SOC Tier 2/3 analysis tasks, managing alerts, case triage, and incident handling within the Cyber Security Operations team
- Engaging in incident cases, investigations, and analyses
- Utilizing ticketing tools to oversee security alerts
- Being on-call for incident response responsibilities
- Offering on-call support when necessary (typically one week every four weeks)
- 4+ years of experience in dynamic malware analysis, threat hunting, and threat identification
- 4+ years in security operations (including Tier 2/3 operations) and/or security engineering
- Solid incident management background
- Thorough understanding of network protocols (http, dns, LDAP, FTP, etc) and networking components (Firewalls, NGFW, IPS/IDS, packet captures)
- Proven expertise in case/alert investigations
- Experience in digital forensics and log analysis
- 3+ years of experience or knowledge in Log analysis and Digital Forensics - utilizing SIEM (preferably IBM QRadar and Azure Sentinel) technology
- Proficiency in English
- Familiarity with Cloud security services (preferably Microsoft Azure)
- Basic programming skills are advantageous (PowerShell and python) to aid in automating SOC tasks
- Experience in resolving Incidents and participating in threat hunting operations
