In our Global Services Business Unit, we are looking for a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team.

As a:

Project Manager, BU GSE (100%), you will be responsible for product technology and development related to globally marketed valve upgrades, retrofits, and repair programs.

As a member of our Engineering team in the Business Unit Global Services, you will support market-managing product managers with independence and flexibility. You will analyze business opportunities and clarify all details regarding technical feasibility and economic viability.

Your goal is to develop attractive 'ready-to-sell' solutions together with developers and designers from other Business Units. You will work closely with product managers who are responsible for business development and the complete marketing mix, while leading projects alongside Engineering partners (especially Field Application Engineers) to deliver the right valve service solutions to the market on time.

YOUR TASKS

  • Technical clarifications for product management and global sales
  • Technical analysis of identified upgrade, retrofit, and repair possibilities
  • Initiating and conducting C&F studies (Concept & Feasibility)
  • Selecting the right valve series as a basis for valve retrofits
  • Conducting fit, form, and function checks and risk assessments
  • Preparing and providing all relevant interface information for Engineering
  • Initiating and leading (project management) product developments/modifications (Stage-Gate process)
  • Adhering to project timelines and achieving project goals (cost, specifications, profitability, quality)
  • Defining the installation, commissioning, and repair process for Field Application Engineers
  • Closely collaborating with Business Units' Engineering and Valve Laboratory (work packages, capacities, deadlines)
  • Assisting with on-site customer research and installations
  • Acting as a substitute for product managers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed education in Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering / Mechatronics (Bachelor's degree or equivalent, e.g., HF)
  • Proven experience and track records in Engineering (Product Development) / Project Management (Project Leadership) in the global high-tech environment (advantage: VAT product knowledge)
  • Knowledge/experience in the Vacuum and Coating Technology field (e.g., SEMI Industry) is also advantageous

You also possess a systematic and goal-oriented work approach using modern PC infrastructure (Office package, project management tools) and stand out for your quick comprehension. In addition to good English skills (fluent in speaking and writing), good communication abilities, resilience, and social skills are required. International travel (occasionally) is not an issue for you.
