Expected start date in position : 1 September 2023

Contract length :
One-year contract, renewable twice for two years, for a total of five years maximum.

Activity rate : 100%

Workplace :
Lausanne-Dorigny

Your responsibilities:

  • 50% min. doctoral research (PhD thesis)
  • 50% max. teaching and research for the department, including the participation in administrative tasks and contribution to the life of the English Department.

Your qualifications:

A pre-doctoral project in the field of English literature and gender is an advantage.
Applicants with an interest in combining literature with culture and history between 1760 and 1820 will also be considered. Proficiency in French is required. Good knowledge of French literature and the historical background for the period is a plus.
It is essential that the appointee has a keen interest in academic teaching and an ability to work independently. Some teaching experience will be considered a plus.
