  • A strong and respected educational leader, with a track record of mentoring and developing faculty, encouraging students, and fostering a dynamic and healthy learning community.
  • Seniorlevel leadership experience, earned in an international independent school environment, or a variety of complex educational contexts.
  • A global mindset, an international outlook, and deep experience in (and commitment to) educating young people for success in a complex and changing world.
  • A demonstrated track record of administrative leadership and management, and a reputation as a fair, collegial, and collaborative colleague.
  • The ability to identify trends and anticipate developments in our rapidly changing education environment; this will include experience with integrating new educational technologies in the classroom.
  • A track record of success in thinking strategically and taking strategy through to tactics and implementation.
  • Experience preparing and delivering instructional feedback to teachers, particularly as it relates to curriculum design and lesson plans, but also in the context of evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of the importance of community and diversity, and a commitment to respecting and embracing the philosophy and values of the Campus des Nations and Ecolint.

Credentials:

  • A strong academic background, and a track record of success in academic administration at the secondary level.
  • Experience with, or an aptitude for, working collaboratively and constructively with faculty/staff/unions.
  • An understanding of the International Baccalaureate would be an asset.
  • The principal will speak both English and/or French with a minimum of B2 level in the other language.

Founded in 1924, the Foundation of the International School of Geneva, commonly known as Ecolint educates 4500 students aged from 3-18 representing over 130 nationalities.

Reporting to the Director General, the Secondary School Principal has overall responsibility and accountability for the academic and administrative leadership of the Nations Secondary School.


In addition, the Principal is a key member of the senior leadership team that provides strategic direction to the International School of Geneva as a whole.


With 679 students from Years 7 to 13, the Secondary School is large and complex and requires a leader who is both a strong and experienced people manager and an outstanding collaborator and communicator.

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Administrative Team of Ecolint, to ensure that all three campuses are providing an outstanding education to their students and that the overall goals and strategies of the School as a whole are being pursued.
