Die Direktorin oder der Direktor führt das Genfer Internationale Zentrum für humanitäre Minenräumung (GICHD) unter der strategischen Leitung des Stiftungsrates und mit Blick auf die Reduktion der durch Kampfmittelrückständen bedingten Risiken für Zivilbevölkerungen. Zur Tätigkeit des GICHD gehören Wissensaufbau, Förderung von Normen und Standards, Kapazitätsentwicklung sowie die Förderung von Dialog und Zusammenarbeit.

**Ihre Aufgaben**:

- Mit dem Stiftungsrat verantworten Sie Entwicklung und Umsetzung der Strategien des GICHD mit Blick auf eine Welt ohne Risiken aus Kampfmittelrückständen
- Sie pflegen vertrauensvolle Beziehungen zum Stiftungsrat
- Sie stärken die Beziehung zu Stakeholdern, einschliesslich betroffener Staaten, Geberstaaten, relevanter Institutionen und Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft
- Sie fördern Renommee und Relevanz des GICHD, indem sein Ruf als verlässliches internationales Kompetenzzentrum zur Reduktion von Risiken aus Kampfmittelrückständen gefestigt wird
- Sie vertreten das GICHD nach Aussen
- Sie stellen sicher, dass das Zentrum im Einklang mit Zielen, Grundwerten und Arbeitsprinzipien arbeitet
- Sie fördern die nachhaltige Weiterentwicklung des Zentrums
- Sie fördern eine partizipative Kultur basierend auf klaren Entscheidungsstrukturen
- Sie fördern Gleichstellung und Nichtdiskriminierung
- Sie optimieren Strukturen und Prozesse kontinuierlich, mit Blick auf eine effiziente und effektive Leistungserbringung
- Sie fördern die Grundwerte der Organisation, mit Fokus auf Vertrauensaufbau.

**Ihr Profil**:

- Mindestens 15 Jahre Erfahrung in der Führung und Beratung multikultureller Teams in einem internationalen Umfeld
- Langjährige Erfahrung zu Abrüstung, Entwicklung und humanitärer Hilfe sowie in multilateraler Zusammenarbeit; solide Verhandlungserfahrung in diesen Themen
- Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse internationaler und regionaler normativer und politischer Prozesse; politisches Gespür
- Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse der Schweizer Aussenpolitik und der Bundesverwaltung
- Bereitschaft zu Reisetätigkeit bis zu 50 % in betroffene Länder und Geberländer
- Unternehmerisches Denken und Fähigkeit, Renommee und Relevanz einer Organisation kontinuierlich zu stärken
- Strategische Planungskompetenz, um Wirkung, Funktionsfähigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit einer Organisation zu stärken mit dem Selbstverständnis einer lernenden, innovativen und ergebnisorientierten Organisation
- Fähigkeit, eine Organisation in sich wandelnden, komplexen Kontexten erfolgreich zu steuern
- Fähigkeit, Wesentliches rasch zu erfassen und überzeugend zu vermitteln
- Hohe Sensibilität für Gleichstellung, Diversität
- Ausgezeichnete Sprachkenntnisse in mindestens zwei Amtssprachen sowie Englisch
