As an Investment Writer at Julius Baer, your primary task is to serve our internal and external clients with easy-to-gauge investment related publications.

Set up as a classical interface, Investment Writing maintains a comprehensive set of cross-channel /cross asset class publications and services.

The main goal of our output is to communicate the bank's view on all asset classes and the main themes moving the markets, linking them with investable products for our clients.


YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Writing of/contributing to regular and ad hoc investment related publications, with focus on market proximity and storytelling, based on daily news flow, gathered from major (external and internal) sources and stakeholders
  • Support activities regarding full range of Investment Writing output (lifecycle management of open calls, Discretionary Mandates aftersales, more)
  • Leading/supporting financial markets related conference calls, digital broadcasts (podcasts, webcasts, videos)
  • A range of activities to leverage the department's output across the bank
  • Proactive collaboration/communication with all relevant stakeholders within the bank to maintain highquality service
  • Proactive contribution to an efficient idea generation process, support of internal communication processes

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Proven experience, minimum 3 years, as Investment Advisor, Investment Consultant, financial market research analyst or Investment Writer, ideally with direct contact to clients/front facing units
  • Deep knowledge and interest in a variety of finance related topics/products across asset classes, preferably stocks and/or bonds; with strong analytical and communication skills
  • A team player who enjoys engaging with people across the bank; international background/work experience a plus
  • A lifelong learner and selfstarter with willingness to take ownership and work in a dynamic environment
  • Above average skills across the common range of office programmes, Bloomberg and content management systems
  • Education level: University grade in Finance (or similar)
  • Very strong writing and verbal skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
