Network Engineer with Project Management

Ready for Swisscom

You will be in charge of network support and infrastructure projects related to the network at an international client. With your expertise, you will implement new standards and set up new IT services.

As the business grows, the focus of the role will shift largely towards migrating from Cisco to Aruba (discussions with sites and 3rd party, technical challenges, planning proposals, change management). You will also act as an escalation point for concerns with the client's internal and external vendors. You will assist the client's network manager and act as their backup during their absence.

  • Coordinate routine and project activities (including operations)
  • Handle all tasks related to network service (lifecycle monitoring, planning, replacement)
  • Manage network infrastructure projects and maintain documentation
  • Implement new standards
  • Participate in on-call service as well as maintenance activities outside regular hours and days

Your Skills

  • Strong project management skills and keen interest in coordinating activities and monitoring them
  • HES degree in telecommunications engineering or equivalent
  • Solid network and security skills (switching, routing, wifi, firewall, load balancer); minimum 5 years of experience managing a complex network (Cisco)
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA / CCNP
