Category Manager Electrical & Electromechanical Components (M/F/d %:

We Elevate

Your Responsibilities:


As the Category Manager for Electrical & Electromechanical Components, you contribute in the development and deployment of the global strategy within Europe in alignment with the Global Category Managers.

You work closely together with Operations and liaise with the Engineering departments as part of the Global Procurement Team.

Main challenges include:

  • Developing strategic sourcing plans, including making or buying decisions and adequate risk assessment in alignment with regional Procurement Heads and Head Global Categories Electronics and Electromechanics
  • Executing strategic supply base rationalization activities such as analyzing suppliers' strengths in the respective categories and rationalizing the supply base
  • Leading external supplierrelated contract and commercial negotiations as well as total cost reductionrelated activities
  • Coordinating Supply Chain optimization activities through crossfunctional teams and deploying the global Electronics and Electromechanics strategy
  • Actively participating in new product introduction as well as reducing time to market by optimizing supply chainrelated conditions

Further requirements may include:

  • Master's degree in engineering with a certification in Supply Chain or a specialized training in Project Management
  • Excellent experience in category management and strategic procurement concepts, including international projects / change management
  • Proven knowledge of the Electrical & Electromechanical market and thorough understanding of the elevator business, familiarity on the America's supply base is a plus
  • Knowledge of business systems related to supply chain (SAP, eprocurement)
  • Working proficiency language skills in English, additional languages are a plus
