Position Summary
The Legal Counsel S&IM is based in the Vevey hub of Nestrade S.A.

in Switzerland and is a key position within the Legal Procurement Team, supporting the group of services and indirect material categories with holistic, pragmatic and business oriented legal advice - with a particular focus on transactional matters vis-à-vis Intellectual Property, Data Privacy and Data Security rules and regulations.

The position will have a solid reporting line to the General Counsel of Nestrade S.A.

and will be an integral part of the Legal Procurement Team, which is fully dedicated to the Global Procurement Hub handling the global procurement for Nestlé group.

A Day in the Life of a Legal Counsel S&IM

• Support the General Counsel for Procurement in the management of the legal affairs of Procurement worldwide, with focus on IT, Corporate Services, Mobility and External workforce matters
• Provide legal advice to the services and indirect materials categories (e.g. IT, Corporate Services, Mobility and External workforce matters) within Procurement, act as the Lead lawyer to these categories, fostering a trusted working relationship with relevant clients and working with the other copilot lawyers to provide best in class service
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with focus on IT related relationships (IT services in general, SaaS, other 'cloud' related operations, software licensing, call centres, etc.)
• Raise awareness, visibility and importance of Legal matters to internal relevant clients via various communication mediums (e.g. workshops, videos, infographic, quiz)
• Support on the establishment and implementation of effective and efficient workflow processes to ensure functional alignment with Legal at Zones, Markets and Globally Managed Businesses (e.g. Nutrition, Waters etc.) levels, as well as alignment with the Global Legal team supporting IT or other expert legal departments
• Project management

What will make you successful

• Professionally qualified lawyer (at least 8 years PQE)
• Double degree or experience in Civil & Common Law a plus
• Experience of working in varied legal environments
• Highly developed knowledge and experience on legal requirements/regulations impacting S&IM and IT deals (cloud, data privacy, technology, etc.)
• Dealt with people from different disciplines and cultures
• Ability to recognize patterns and optimize templates and processes
• Managed high pressure / high visibility project under scrutiny of senior management
• Excellent command of written and spoken English other languages a plus
