Job Description

Our client, an international company based in Neuchâtel, is seeking an Automation Engineer.

In the Global Manufacturing and Supply team, you will play a vital role in an industry that is rapidly evolving through the application of technology and data in innovative ways. Working within our agile and people-centric organization, your contribution will be significant as you help manufacture therapies for patients across our platforms.

General Information:

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Location: Neuchâtel
  • Workload: Full-time (100%)

About the Role:

  • Joining the Engineering Automation department, you will be part of a team of engineers overseen by the Operational Automation Supervisor. Your responsibilities will involve providing technical support, maintenance, and enhancements to the automation of production equipment.
  • You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on site improvement projects, as well as support automation validation activities.
  • You are expected to offer automation expertise in investigating deviations and issues.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee automated systems related to site production equipment.
  • Act as an Automation expert to meet the requirements of various partners.
  • Proficient in PLC and Supervision software development such as Rockwell Control Logix and IFIX (GE) Supervision.
  • Conduct FAT and SAT tests and carry out system commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at the site and contribute to enhancing working conditions through a proactive approach.

Your Profile:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science HES in Automation engineering or equivalent.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in biotechnology or the medical/pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience in drafting functional and design specifications.
  • Understanding of GMP requirements and industry regulations related to qualification and validation.
  • Dynamic, team-oriented individual with technical curiosity and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, with English proficiency being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with standard computer tools.
  • Dependable, professional, and well-organized.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with biotechnology technologies and processes, including experience with computerized and automated systems in this field.
  • Proficiency in OsiSoft PI and Inmation (Emerson).
